 In 1998 Sardar Harbhajan Singh Jabbal was happy that now he will mark his presence in the heart of Punjabi people living in America. BUT GOD had written something else in his luck. He had to come back just after two shows because a tragedy occurred in his home.

S. H. S. Jabbal's name does not require any introduction as his name itself carries his achievements and recognition. He is a famous stage artist and has performed both in India and abroad.  He was born on 1st October,1941 to Smt. Beant Kaur Ghatora in Pakistan. His father Sardar Phoola Singh was a master of Ivory work. He himself is a very good craftsman. His model of Shri Harimandir Sahib which was made of Sandal wood fetched State Award for him. But he is widely recognized as Punjabi comedian.After completing his F.A. from Khalsa College, Amritsar he joined Sardar Thakur Singh School of Fine Arts. In 1963 he joined Dr. Gursharan Singh's group (popularly known as Bhai Manna Singh). He worked very hard and with complete devotion earned fame. Later he established Lok Rang Munch. Under this banner he directed and acted in plays depicting various shades of human life.

     He worked in both Punjabi and Hindi Films. He is a popular figure among the mass audience of TV in skits and serials. He himself directed many popular programmers for Doordarshan.
     His talent, hard work and sincere devotion towards his profession has brought him many laurels. Some of the awards given to him are:
     -Shrimoni Nat Mandali (Punjab Government)
     -President Award from Allahabad Nataya Sangh
     -Best Actor Performance Award from Allahabad Nataya Sangh
     -Mohammad Rafi Award
     -Prof. Mohan Singh Memorial (Commedy King) Award, Ludhiana
     -National Award in Handicraft
    -State Craft Master from Punjab Government
   

He is also president of 'Lok Rang Munch (Regd.)', vice president of 'Doordarshan & All India Radio Artist Welfare Association (Regd.)', vice-president of 'Amritsar Ivory Handicrafts-men Association (Regd.)', vice President of 'Amritsar Focal Point Industries Association (Regd.)'.  He got married to Smt. Kuldeep Kaur Hanspal of Dehradun on 13th December, 1964. She is also a very talented artist and has acted in various American and Russian plays. The couple is blessed with two sons and two daughters.
